Projects Implemented in 2022

In 2022, Touch of Hope, in partnership with Kaliwamba Farm, launched an initiative to empower women farmers in Maliwa and Zuze Villages, Lilongwe, by forming cooperatives and providing training in sustainable tomato and onion farming. The project offered practical skills in soil preparation, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting, along with high-quality seeds to ensure successful crops.

The initiative significantly boosted the women’s confidence, skills, and income, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among the participants. By improving agricultural practices, the women contributed to food security and economic stability in their villages. This project also highlighted the power of partnerships, with the combined expertise of Kaliwamba Farm and Touch of Hope creating lasting change and laying the groundwork for future expansion. Through this initiative, we continue to empower women in agriculture and support sustainable development in the community.
